Background: Early this winter, Toto was discovered in a small village in Hwasung. He had been left outside tied to a pole with a collar so small it was tragically cutting into his neck, leaving a significant scar and causing him pain. It took some time and effort to convince his owner, but they finally surrendered him. Toto was hospitalized for a while to receive treatment and heal. Currently, he is living at our partner boarding house with other dogs.

Personality and Socialization: Toto is a gentle, quiet, and very friendly boy with a wonderfully mellow nature. He might be a little cautious when he first encounters a new environment, but once he feels comfortable, he becomes very sweet, relaxed, and friendly. He enjoys being around people and quietly likes to hang out. Toto gets along very well with other dogs, both small and large, as long as they aren’t too bossy or overly energetic. If other dogs are too pushy or loud, he will simply avoid them, preferring the company of gentle, friendly dogs. He has no experience with cats or young children.

Behaviours: Toto is a very well-behaved and low-maintenance dog. He is quiet and has never caused any trouble with other dogs. He is non-destructive and prefers to go potty outdoors, although he will use indoor pee pads if needed. He handles being left alone well, staying quiet without showing signs of separation anxiety. During his hospital stay, he did exceptionally well; the hospital staff complimented him many times on being such a good boy. He is also fine in the car and during baths. He walks well on a leash, though his experience with regular walks is still somewhat limited.

Health and Diet: Toto is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and receives regular internal and external parasite prevention. His neck has completely healed, and we are just waiting for his fur to fully grow back in that area. He eats dry food twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies so far.

Ideal Home: Toto is a gentle and sweet little soul who is great with everyone he meets. He is very mellow, submissive, and incredibly cute. He would be a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm and friendly companion. We are ideally looking for a home where someone can spend a significant amount of time with him, so he isn’t left alone for long hours. Someone who is retired or works from home would be a fantastic fit for Toto.
