Square

Background
Square was rescued from a dog meat farm in Siheung, Korea in the summer of 2023. After time in a local shelter without finding a family, she joined the rescue program this spring and has been living happily alongside other dogs ever since.

Personality and Socialization
Square is a lovely girl who is very gentle and affectionate with people. She loves getting attention and having a good snuggle. When volunteers visit, she likes to follow them around hoping for pets and cuddles. She is not a demanding dog. She simply loves companionship and being around people.

With other dogs, Square is very friendly and social. She is gentle and submissive, and we have never seen her get into a fight or cause any trouble. She especially loves friendly dogs who are calm and not pushy or dominant. She has no experience with cats, but knowing her gentle and friendly nature, we believe that with a slow and gradual introduction, she would most likely do just fine.

Behaviour
Square is good in the car and handles grooming, baths, and vet visits very well. She lets her humans take care of her without any fuss. She is easygoing. She loves going for walks and has a funny habit of carrying sticks along the way. She also loves snacks. Square has not shown any signs of separation anxiety, she is not destructive, and she is quiet and calm at home.

Health and Diet
Square is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and kept up to date with monthly parasite prevention. When she was first rescued in 2023, she had heartworms, but she completed her full treatment and is now fully healthy and ready for her forever home. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no signs of food-related allergies.

Ideal Home
Square would be a wonderful fit for many types of homes, including those with first-time dog guardians. We are simply hoping to find a family who will not leave her alone for long hours and who enjoys spending quality time with their dog. She is already a loving, social, and well-balanced companion who will slot beautifully into your life. Truly, anyone who adopts Square will be very lucky to have her.
