Background
Snowie is a tiny Chihuahua with a gentle soul who was rescued from a puppy mill in Gimpo, Korea, in December 2025. After completing his quarantine period, he moved to our partner boarding house. Since then, Snowie has received all of his veterinary care and has been learning that life can be safe, comfortable, and full of kindness.

Personality and Socialization
Snowie is a sweet, well-mannered little boy with a calm and gentle personality. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly. Once he settles in, he happily shows his affectionate side to the people he knows and trusts. He enjoys gentle attention and loves being close to his favorite humans.

Snowie isn’t particular about men or women, but he does appreciate people who approach him calmly and respectfully. One adorable quirk is that he can be a bit dramatic if someone suddenly picks him up without warning. He may let out a squeal in surprise! Once he knows what to expect, however, he relaxes and enjoys being handled.

Snowie is not especially interested in making canine friends. He prefers peaceful, quiet dogs who mind their own business, especially calm senior companions. He tends to dislike pushy or overly energetic dogs and is particularly uncomfortable around male dogs. Because of this, he would be happiest either as the only dog or with a quiet, respectful older dog who will give him space. Snowie has not yet been tested with cats or young children. However, based on his gentle personality, we believe he would likely do well with slow, proper introductions.

Behaviours
Snowie has a medium -low energy level and enjoys a relaxed daily routine. He is fully pee pad trained and has excellent house manners. He is not destructive, rarely barks, and is comfortable spending time on his own. When unfamiliar visitors come to the house, he simply chooses a quiet room where he can relax until things settle down.

He rides very well in the car, behaves nicely during veterinary visits and baths, and enjoys his walks. Overall, Snowie is an easy companion who appreciates a calm, predictable lifestyle.

Health and Diet
Snowie is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and receives regular parasite prevention. He has no known allergies.

In May 2026, Snowie underwent surgery to correct luxating patellas in both knees and has recovered well. Snowie has completed his dental treatment. Some of his teeth were already missing, while others needed to be extracted. He now has approximately half of his teeth remaining. He is doing well and can eat comfortably.

Snowie has recently been diagnosed with early Stage B2 heart disease, myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD), and has started daily heart medication, Pimobendan (0.25mg/kg). He is doing very well, and his condition is being carefully managed. Many dogs with Stage B2 heart disease continue to enjoy happy and comfortable lives with proper care. To help Snowie settle comfortably into his new home, he will come with a two month supply of his heart medication, giving his new family time to arrange ongoing care with their veterinarian.

Ideal Home
Snowie would thrive in a quiet, loving home where life moves at a gentle pace. A retired person or someone who works from home and is looking for a quiet, gentle companion would be an ideal match. A family who can meet his medical needs and provide him with consistent, loving care is essential.

Snowie could be happy as the only dog, or with a calm, older female dog who respects his personal space. He prefers female dogs and is not comfortable around bossy male dogs, so a peaceful home without overly energetic pets would be best for him.

This tiny boy has already overcome so much. Now, he is simply looking for a family who will love him for who he is. In return, he will be a gentle and loyal companion who asks for very little but quietly fills your home with warmth, sweetness, and unconditional love.

Snowie is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Snowie is $280.

Note: US adopters are responsible for customs clearance fee, which is approximately $220 USD.
