Background
Rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, as part of our “Save 100 Dogs” project, sweet Shoushou has come a long way. After spending some time at our shelter, he was lucky to find a foster home and has been living there for the past five months—safe, loved, and slowly learning what it’s like to be part of a home.

Personality & Socialization
Shoushou is one of those dogs who just melts your heart. He’s gentle, loving, and so affectionate. Whether it’s men or women, he adores people and is happiest when he’s near them. With medium energy, he’s calm yet playful when invited. He’s also very smart, obedient, and eager to please, which makes him a joy to be around.

He’s polite and gentle with other dogs but doesn’t seek them out. He’s definitely more of a “people’s dog” and thrives when he gets human companionship.

Behaviour
Shoushou has been a wonderful house guest at his foster home. He’s calm and quiet indoors, not a big barker, and hasn’t shown any signs of separation anxiety when left alone. He’s potty trained—uses pee pads indoors and also goes outside.

He enjoys car rides, handles vet visits like a champ, and is well-behaved during bath time. He walks nicely on a leash and genuinely enjoys his outdoor time. When he visited the vet hospital, he was so affectionate that the staff couldn’t stop doting on him!

Health & Diet
When Shoushou was first rescued, he needed surgery for patellar luxation in his hind legs. Thankfully, the surgery went well, and he’s now fully recovered with no mobility issues. He’s had a complete vet check, is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and receives monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry food and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home
Shoushou would do best in a quiet, relaxed home with a family or individual who enjoys peaceful companionship. He’s not demanding—he just wants to be included and loved. A home where he can be part of the daily rhythm—maybe lying beside you as you read, joining you on a gentle walk, or just sitting nearby as you go about your day—would be perfect.

If you’re looking for a quiet, affectionate, and well-mannered companion, Shoushou might just be the one. He’s ready to fill your home with love and gentle joy.
