Get monthly updates about dogs like Randi and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
Background: Randi, a sweet dog, was found as a stray in Paju, South Korea when she was 4 years old. She was taken to a high-kill city shelter in June 2021 but was luckily rescued just before being euthanized by a local rescue team. In July 2023, she found a caring foster home with two other dogs and learned socialization. Recently, due to her foster’s personal reasons, Randi had to return to the shelter after spending 10 months in her foster home. She is now more than ready to find her forever home!
Personality: Randi is an affectionate and lovable girl who will steal your heart from the moment you meet her! Her fondness for cuddles indicates she will be a warm and loving companion for any family. Her gentle and kind demeanor makes her a delightful companion for all ages.
Behaviors: Randi behaves well during walks, enjoys outdoor activities, playing with her ball, visiting dog daycare, running around, riding in the car, and bath time.
Socialization: Randi is generally friendly with other dogs, but she can also be indifferent towards them at times. She lived harmoniously with two resident dogs in her foster home and has had some exposure to cats, mostly out of curiosity without aggression. Randi is good with people of all ages, including kids, men, and the elderly. She is a velcro dog, preferring to stay close to her humans at all times.
Health: After being rescued with heartworms, Randi completed treatment in early 2022 and is now healthy. She has been spayed, microchipped, and is up-to-date on vaccinations. Randi receives monthly parasite preventatives. It’s worth noting that she has been missing two front teeth since her rescue.
Ideal home: Randi would thrive in a family where someone works from home or is retired and can dedicate a lot of time to their dog. Given her personality, she would do well with first-time dog owners or retirees. While she gets along with other dogs, Randi prefers to receive all the attention and love. Therefore, being the only dog or living with others who are indifferent or independent towards other dogs would suit her best. Randi is an incredibly sweet and friendly companion, and whoever adopts her will be very fortunate.
