** Note: Mir is currently at a foster home in Vancouver.

Background: Mir was rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea, as part of the “Save 100 Dogs” project this summer. Since then, he has lived with other dogs at our partner shelter until he left Korea. Currently, he lives with a cat at a foster home.

Personality and Socialization: Mir is a sociable, friendly boy with a medium energy level. Though he may be a little shy in the beginning or in a new environment, he warms up quickly and loves people, including men. Mir enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those his size, and he plays well with them. While he thrives around canine friends, he’s just as happy soaking up attention as an only dog. He’s a flexible, loving companion who will bring joy to any home.

Behaviours: Mir is a smart boy who enjoys following his humans around but also appreciates quiet time on his own. He is a little nervous during vet visits and bath time but allows his humans to handle these situations. While his leash-walking experience is limited, Mir walks well when he’s with humans he trusts and loves exploring the outdoors. Inside, he’s calm and quiet, making him a balanced and easy-going companion.

Health and Diet: Mir is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. Mir is heartworm and parasite-negative and receives monthly preventatives for both internal and external parasites. He went through a vet exam and is healthy and ready for his forever home. Mir eats dry food twice a day and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Mir’s ideal family could include another friendly dog for companionship, but he’s just as happy being the only pet. He would thrive in a relaxed, loving home with plenty of outdoor time and human interaction. A family where someone works from home or is retired and can spend lots of time with Mir would be perfect. With his adaptable and affectionate nature, Mir is ready to be your loyal and joyful companion.
