Background
Max was rescued from the Chuncheon city shelter in December 2024, but we had no space at our shelter at the time. As a result, he stayed at another local shelter until earlier this year. Max now lives with other dogs at our partner boarding house. Since arriving, he has been gentle, well-mannered, and wonderful with the other dogs. He has quickly become one of the most popular dogs among our volunteers.

Personality and Socialization
Max is a sweet, affectionate, and well-mannered boy with a gentle heart. Although he has no real fear of strangers, he can be a little shy when meeting someone new. It doesn’t take long for him to relax, and once he does, his loving and affectionate personality shines through.

He has a medium energy level and enjoys a balanced lifestyle that includes walks, spending time with his people, and relaxing nearby. Max loves being part of the family and is happiest when he can quietly keep you company.

Max gets along well with other dogs and has wonderful canine manners. He especially enjoys calm, polite dogs and prefers peaceful companions over rough or overly energetic playmates. He has not yet been tested with cats or young children. However, based on his gentle and easygoing temperament, we believe he would likely do well with slow, proper introductions.

Behaviours
Max is an easy dog to live with and doesn’t ask for much. He prefers to do his business outdoors and enjoys going for walks. He rides calmly in the car, behaves beautifully during veterinary visits and bath time, and walks well on leash.

He has not shown any destructive behaviours, rarely barks, and is expected to adjust well to being left alone for reasonable periods. His calm nature and good manners make him a low-maintenance companion who fits easily into everyday life. Max is the type of dog who simply enjoys being near his people without demanding constant attention.

Health and Diet
Max is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and receives regular parasite prevention. He has no known allergies and enjoys eating dry kibble twice a day.

Max has no known medical conditions and is a healthy boy who is ready to begin his new life with his forever family.

Ideal Home
Max would thrive in almost any loving home. His calm temperament, affectionate personality, and easygoing nature make him an excellent choice for first-time dog owners, seniors, couples, or families looking for a loyal companion. Ideally, he would love a home where someone can spend plenty of time with him, such as a retiree or someone who works from home.

He would be happy as the only dog, where he can enjoy all the love and attention, or with another calm, friendly dog who shares his gentle personality. Because he is so well-mannered and adaptable, Max transitions easily into new environments and doesn’t require constant management.
