Background
Legon is a beautiful Sapsali (Korean terrier), a breed known for their intelligence, loyalty, and calm nature. He was rescued from the streets of Jeju Island in 2021 and spent the next four years in a local shelter, waiting patiently—but no one came for him.
This past spring, we brought Legon to our boarding house in hopes of finding the loving home he truly deserves. Since then, he’s been living peacefully with other dogs and enjoying the warmth of companionship he was missing for so long.
Personality & Socialization
Legon is a sweet, affectionate, and very intelligent boy. He’s easygoing and gets along wonderfully with other dogs—both big and small. He’s gentle, calm, and respectful, making him a joy to be around.
With people, Legon shines just as bright. He’s friendly and sociable, even around strangers. When volunteers visit, he greets them with gentle curiosity and quickly warms up. There’s something very soft and loving about the way he connects—it’s as if he’s been waiting all his life for someone to choose him.
Behaviour
Legon is very well-behaved. He travels well in the car, is calm during bath time and grooming, and does great at the vet—earning praise and extra treats for being such a good boy. He’s quiet, mellow, and shows no signs of separation anxiety.
He enjoys toys, walks well on a leash, and always keeps an eye on his people, happy just to be by their side.
Health & Diet
Legon has received a full veterinary check-up and is in great health. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and receives monthly parasite prevention. He eats dry kibble and has no known allergies or special dietary needs.
Ideal Home
Legon would do well in almost any loving home. Whether you’re a first-time dog parent, looking for a second dog, or a senior hoping for a calm and loving companion—Legon could be your perfect match.
His gentle and affectionate nature makes him incredibly adaptable, but we’d love to see him in a home where someone is around most of the time—perhaps a family who works from home or a retired couple. He’s waited so long for love; now he just wants someone to share his heart with.
Legon is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Legon is $780.
Note: US adopters are responsible for customs clearance fee, which is approximately $220 USD.
