Background
Lauren and her sister, Sophia, spent the early part of their lives in a small village near our shelter. They lived in a cramped cage where they survived on leftover human food and had no clean drinking water. Our team visited their owner several times before he finally agreed to surrender them. Since their rescue, Lauren has been staying at our partner boarding house, where she lives peacefully with many other rescued dogs while waiting to find her forever family.
Personality and Socialization
Lauren is a gentle, affectionate girl with a calm and friendly personality. She enjoys being around people and is always happy to receive kind words, gentle pets, and cuddles. She quickly warms up to both men and women and has a sweet, easygoing nature that makes her a wonderful companion.
She is very social with other dogs and especially enjoys spending time with calm dogs of a similar age. Lauren has a medium energy level. She enjoys playtime but is equally content relaxing beside the people she loves. Her compatibility with cats is unknown.
Behaviours
Lauren is a polite and well behaved young dog. She walks nicely on leash, travels well in the car, and remains calm during baths and veterinary visits. She prefers to do her business outside but will also use indoor pee pads when needed. She enjoys chewing on toys, which is a normal and healthy way for her to stay occupied.
Health and Diet
Lauren has been spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and is up to date on her vaccinations. She receives monthly parasite prevention and has not shown any signs of allergies. She eats kibble twice a day.
Ideal Home
Lauren would thrive in a loving home where she can spend lots of time with her family. She would especially enjoy a home with someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. She would also be happy sharing her home with another friendly dog for companionship.
Although Lauren’s life did not begin with the love every dog deserves, she has grown into a sweet, trusting girl who is ready to leave the past behind. All she wants is a family to love and a place where she belongs. The family who welcomes Lauren into their home will gain a loyal and affectionate companion for years to come.
Lauren is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Lauren is $780.
Note: US adopters are responsible for customs clearance fee, which is approximately $220 USD.
