Background: Boyoung’s journey began on the streets of Paju, Korea, in 2018, where she was found wandering as a stray. She was taken in by a foster family during her puppy days, but as she grew, they returned her to the shelter. Since then, Boyoung has been waiting patiently for her forever home.

The shelter she calls home is humble and lacks the resources to provide the enrichment she deserves. Most of her days are spent in an outdoor kennel with little more than straws for warmth and a plastic tarp to block the wind. With her 6th winter approaching, we hope to find Boyoung a warm, loving home where she no longer has to endure the harsh cold.

Personality and Socialization: Boyoung is a gentle and obedient dog who lights up when receiving attention from the shelter staff and volunteers. She’s a calm and sweet companion, perfect for someone who enjoys a peaceful, quiet life and is looking for a loyal friend by their side. While Boyoung is selective with other dogs, she does well on her own and thrives in an environment without the stress of many animals around. Her experience with cats and young children is limited, so a home without them would suit her best.

Behaviors: Boyoung’s absolute favorite activity is going for walks. She loves the fresh air, the change of scenery, and the chance to stretch her legs. She’s good on the leash, and although she starts out a bit excited, she quickly settles into her human’s pace. Boyoung handles car rides and baths, though they aren’t her favorite things – she’ll tolerate them for the sake of her human. She also behaves well at the vet.

Health and Diet: Boyoung is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She receives monthly parasite prevention and hasn’t shown any signs of allergies. She eats dry kibble twice a day.

The Ideal Home: The perfect home for Boyoung would be with someone experienced in caring for dogs, who lives in a quiet neighborhood without other pets. She would thrive in a calm environment where she can be the center of attention and receive the love she has been missing. Boyoung has waited long enough for her chance at a forever family. Although she hasn’t found a home yet, we believe her perfect match is out there, ready to give her the warmth and love she truly deserves. Could you be the one to make her dreams come true?

Boyoung is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Boyoung is $580.
