Background: In June 2023, Bori’s journey began when our colleague found her and another Dachshund abandoned on the streets. They had been living in a construction site without proper care. After convincing the owner to surrender them, the two dogs were rescued. Initially placed in a temporary shelter, Bori was moved to our partner boarding house early this year and she has been living with other dogs since.

Personality: Bori is a sociable and affectionate girl with a moderate energy level. She is smart, loving, and friendly, making her an ideal companion.

Behaviors: Bori loves walks, outdoor activities, car rides, and baths. She dislikes being left alone, crated, or confined to a room. Bori loves treats, is highly food motivated, and is extremely affectionate, enjoying snuggles and kisses.

Socialization: Bori is friendly and social with other dogs and people. She would do well as a second dog or with first-time dog owners. She is affectionate, not shy around strangers, and enjoys social interactions. She has no experience with cats or young children.

Health: Upon rescue, Bori had heartworms and anaplasmosis, but she has completed treatment successfully. She has also undergone scaling and is spayed, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and receives monthly parasite preventatives. She is now healthy and ready for he forever home.

Ideal Home: Bori thrives in a home where she can interact with people and other dogs. Bori would be a perfect match for someone who works from home or is retired, as she dislikes being left alone. She is incredibly affectionate and friendly, making her an ideal companion for any lucky adopter.
