Background: Bomi was rescued from a city pound in Buan, Korea, this spring. She stayed with a foster family for a while but is now at our partner boarding house, living with other dogs. Bomi’s flight to Vancouver is scheduled for September 12th, and we’re looking for her forever home in Vancouver.

Personality and Socialization: Bomi is shy around new people and in new places. It usually takes her about a week to start feeling comfortable. Once she’s settled in, she enjoys playing with other dogs and wags her tail when she sees people. She prefers dogs that are quiet, gentle, and submissive and gets scared around dominant, hyper, or loud dogs. She loves cuddling with small, gentle dogs and gets along well with them. With people, she’s shy at first, but once she gets to know them, she’s very sweet and affectionate.

Behaviors: Bomi has a low energy level and is very quiet. In her foster home, she often went on car rides with other dogs. She was a bit nervous but handled it well overall. The same goes for vet visits and grooming; she gets a bit nervous but allows people to handle her. She hasn’t shown any destructive behavior or separation anxiety.

Health and Diet: Bomi is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She takes monthly preventatives for internal and external parasites and is a healthy girl ready to bring peace and love to her forever home. She enjoys eating dry kibble twice a day and currently has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Bomi will do best with someone who has experience with dogs. She isn’t needy or demanding but will feel more comfortable with someone who understands how to communicate with dogs. Having another gentle, friendly dog in the home would help her open up and build confidence in a new environment. Bomi is a very loving and cute little dog. A patient person who knows how to connect with a shy dog and enjoys a quiet, relaxed lifestyle would be the perfect match for her.
