Banja was rescued in November 2020 after being found hit by a car. His right leg was broken as a result, but his surgery was successful and he made a full recovery. He also has what appears to be an inguinal hernia, but upon further tests and investigation, the vet concluded his intestines are in place and the bulge is a result of fatty tissue. The vet advised surgery is not required. He also lost vision in his right eye as a result of the car accident, but is doing fine with his fully functional left eye.
Banja currently lives with a foster who sings his praises on what a good boy he is. He is very well behaved indoors and does not bark or display signs of separation anxiety when left alone. His friendly and submissive personality with both humans and other dogs would make him a great addition to a home looking for a second dog.
Banja is very affectionate with humans as well and is very obedient. He does not have any sensitivities to being touched and is very easy going when being bathed, having his teeth brushed, clipping his nails, or being groomed. When being told no, he is very obedient and easily redirected. Banja also loves going for walks and does great during car rides!
His ideal home would be with a family with another friendly dog as a furry sibling, and humans who enjoy the outdoors and are able to bring him along on their adventures.
DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
