Journey from Cruelty to Compassion

This is such an exciting and emotional time for you. But as thrilled as everyone is, it’s important to stay cautious, especially during the first few weeks when your dog will still be adjusting to their new surroundings.

How to Ensure a Smooth Transition?

Follow the Safety Equipment Protocol. Please review the protocol once more before your dog’s arrival.

What to Bring to the Airport:

  1. A bottle of water for your dog: no water dish is needed. It is attached to the crate door.
  2. $20 for the airport porter fee: in case the flight volunteer needs assistance bringing your dog out.
  3. A thank-you card or small gift (like chocolates or a Starbucks card): Flight volunteers spend extra time at airports going through inspections and the check-in process for your dog. Your kind gesture will make them feel appreciated.
  4. No snacks or food: they could upset your dog’s stomach.
  5. Note: if your dog weighs over 13kg, you will need an SUV to fit the travel crate.

Note:

  1. If your dog weighs over 13kg, you will need an SUV to fit the travel crate.
  2. If you don’t have access to a car, please consider renting one, as many taxis do not allow pets.
  3. Unless instructed otherwise, please park in the airport parking lot instead of at the curbside. Head to the International Arrivals area and wait there.
