Taesung was rescued as a wandering stray. After he was rescued, he was lucky enough to find a foster family to stay with rather than living in the shelter. He lived with his foster family for 2 years with no prospect of adoption in Korea. After 2 years of having Taesung, his foster mother told us she considered adopting him. However, she recently returned him to the shelter after she learned she was pregnant.

Taesung was born with a leg deformity. He walks with no issue and it does not affect his quality of life, vets have opted to forgo surgery or therapy.

With people, Taesung is quiet and shy and takes some time to warm up. It wasn’t easy for him to leave his foster home after 2 years, and is still processing the change and not quite understanding why it all happened. It has evidently affected him deeply, but he has put on a brave face and has been settling in well given all the changes he has endured. He gets along well with other dogs and finds comfort and confidence in them.

His ideal home is someone who will have the patience and understanding to help him settle in as moving again may be difficult for him and may be a bit shy and withdrawn in the beginning. Having another friendly dog in the household would be ideal, but not a requirement.

The adoption fee for Taesung is $360USD/$460CAD.
