Get monthly updates about dogs like Nono and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Nono was one of the lucky dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Pohang, Korea last year. The hoarder kept over 50 dogs in her basement apartment. One day her landlord who was very angry at the tenant intruded into the apartment and beat the dogs with an iron pipe. It was so horrible and many dogs got severely injured. Including Nono, seven dogs lost their eyes from the incident.

Nono had a tough time after she lost eyes. But slowly she started opening up and trusting people and now she is a social, sweet, and happy girl. Nono is generally quiet, but when she wants something or has compaints, she will bark a few times (she is NOT an excessive barker). It is the way how she communicates with people and expresses her feelings. Overall, Nono is an easy-going, friendly, and adorable companion dog.

The ideal adopter is someone living in a quiet home; retired or working from home. Since her favorite thing is to snuggle with people, someone who can spend a lot of time at home with Nono would be great. Nono would be very happy if she is the only dog in the house and gets all attentions. Although she is good with other dogs, sometimes she gets very jealous and that makes her frustrated. If she gets adopted with her best friend, Papa, together by the same family, that would be even better.

Nono will join Petsmart (Etobicoke) adoption event on September 14th and 15th.
