Get monthly updates about dogs like Dari and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

NOTE: In an effort to move the dogs out of the shelter before winter, Dari will be transported to Toronto. Due to a shortage of flight volunteers, the dog will be transported by cargo, which will cost over $3,000. Free Korean Dogs will be asking adopters to contribute $1,500 towards the cargo fee to help with transportation and costs.

Dari was rescued from a fishing dock last spring. She was seen roaming around the area for several weeks scavenging for food scraps. Dari had become known in the area, and it became clear she needed to be rescued before being picked up for euthanasia or sold to a meat seller. When Dari was rescued, no one noticed that she was pregnant. She gave birth to four beautiful puppies and they have been all adopted by wonderful families in LA.

Now, it’s Dari’s turn; she was spayed, and completed vaccinations. She is ready for her forever home.

Dari is a very affectionate and sweet girl. She gets along fine with other dogs, but she prefers to be around people than playing with dogs. Also, she gets easily jealous, so a family with no dogs would be a better fit. Someone retired or working from home would be great.
