Two full days of dogs at Woofstock Event 2018

June 2, 2018 by EK Park, Executive Director Leave a Comment

Free Korean Dogs at Woofstock Event 2018

We lost count how many dogs we met this weekend. For the first time, Free Korean Dogs (FKD) hosted a tent at Woofstock – the largest outdoor festival for dogs in North America. Our goal was to promote public awareness to create a cultural shift from cruelty to compassion for dogs in Korea. We had the opportunity to talk to hundreds of Woofstock participants, sharing information about the work we do and why we do it.

This event is extra special for our Board of Directors, Amélie Arteta and William Yang. They met many of our former Korean rescued dogs and their new Canadian families as they all came by the FKD tent to say hello and to spend time sharing their adoption stories with anyone & everyone who walked by our tent.

Special thanks to our 15 volunteers who made this event possible. For the past two days, each of you promoted FKD and its mission in the most enthusiastic way. #BestTeamWork2018 !!!
