On September 1st, 2018 Free Korean Dogs stepped in to liberate 69 canine residents (later to become 83 after the birth of a few litters from pregnant rescues) from a dog meat farm in Dangjin, S. Korea who were destined for slaughter. This is one of their stories:
Dog Meat Farm
After our 12-year-old Labrador Retriever-mix Oreo passed away, my husband and I said we would never have another dog again. We had adopted Oreo in 2006, when he was only 5 months old. He was an integral part of our young adult lives as we transitioned from one stage to the next.

It was a hot summer day that I first saw Scarlet and Jimmy. They were two of 69 dogs in the Dangjin dog meat farm; Scarlett was locked in a filthy, rusty and cramped cage while Jimmy was tied to a cement block outside.
Yellow is a 2yr old lab. And like her name suggests, her personality is positive and bright. She is very sweet and friendly to everyone! Yellow was one of the lucky dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Dangjin, Korea on September 1st.
