Flora was found bleeding near a dog meat farm in Sejong city, Korea last year. She was very scared and uncontrollably trembling.
We suspect she was fortunate enough to be able to escape from the dog farm where she would be sold to the dog meat trade industry. The skins around her legs, ears, and head were torn. The level of pain and suffering Flora experienced was indescribable. The rescue team performed an initial assessment and confirmed her wounds were skin deep. They also concluded there wasn’t any broken bone in her already fragile body.
While Flora was getting treated for her wounds at a local animal hospital, the veterinarian found out she had a mammary tumor. The surgery went well; thankfully, all of her health problems were addressed and now Flora has a clean bill of health.
We observed Flora still has much love to give – to everyone who is willing to be kind to her from this day forward. Flora has the capacity to forgive and to forget about all her unpleasant history in South Korea. This amazing pup is arriving Toronto on February 10th and she is looking for a new home that will provide lots of love and care. She is a very affectionate and friendly with people and other dogs.
We are primarily looking for potential adopters who are retired or those with flexible work schedule. We would not want Flora to be alone for an extended period of time. She has a calm demeanor where she has grown past the chewing phase. We are helping Flora to find her new family whom can give her tons of love and can embrace her inner scars. She had gone through a lot of awful situations in her short little life. It is now her time to be loved and to be spoiled.
