Join Us to Save More Dogs in Korea

December 19, 2015 by EK Park, Executive Director 2 Comments

Tasha (formerly Chanel) was pregnant when she was about to be killed for her meat in Korea. She was starve to death and we could literally count her rib bones. After being rescued, Tasha gave birth to five healthy puppies. However, it was hard for “meat” dogs like Tasha to be adopted in Korea because of the stigma.

While the puppies were growing fast, cold winter arrived. Staying at a temporary shelter outside in cold winter was tough and leaving the family there in Korea was simply not an option. Luckily, a good friend of us lent us the money for the flight so we could bring Tasha’s family to Canada. We worked hard to find forever loving homes for these dogs and in two weeks they were all adopted by the most wonderful Canadian families.

What Do We Need?

We need $2,335. The transportation cost including customs fees was $3,935 but the adopters paid partial transportation fees that were $2,400. That means we still need $1,535. Plus, $800 for Tasha’s heartworms treatment and spaying. Not surprisingly Tasha is diagnosed malnutrition and also has heartworms.

Please help us continue to save more dogs like Tasha’s family in Korea. Your support can bring the real change.
