For months we have been working to close a dog meat farm in Jeonju, South Korea. On July 25th, all the hard work paid off. The farmer has agreed to close the farm and all 29 dogs have been rescued. Almost immediately after the dogs were rescued from the farm, not one but two of the dogs gave birth to two lovely litters of puppies. That’s the good news…
The bad news is that, due to the horrible conditions on the farm, many of the dogs are very sick and need immediate veterinary care. EK Park, Jinoak Oh and a number of dedicated volunteers have been working tirelessly to get the dogs clean, fed and in some cases to the vet for treatment.
We would very much like to prep the dogs for travel and get them to a shelter in the US. There many of the dogs will receive much needed veterinary care. Next they will be made available for adoption to their forever homes.
We need help with veterinary and and travel expenses. If you would like to help with the recovery of these dogs, please make a donation.
