In Search of Forever Home

August 28, 2020 by Sara Liao, Board of Directors & Adoption Manager Leave a Comment

Dari was rescued from a fishing dock last spring. She was seen roaming around the area for several weeks searching for food and scavenging for food scraps. She had become known in the area, and it became clear she needed to be rescued before being picked up for euthanasia or sold to a meat seller.

Luckily, someone contacted our partner boarding house manager and asked for help. After a trip to the vet for a wellness check and spay, it was discovered she was already pregnant. The next day, 4 babies were born (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.)

With existing overcrowded shelters in Korea, including her own boarding house at capacity, the manager knew the only way these dogs could truly be rescued was through international adoption, where they could live out the rest of their lives with forever families abroad. As a result, she contacted FKD.

Rescued Corgi Mix Puppies Seek Their Forever Homes

The four puppies are all very social, friendly, and playful. But they will only be available for adoption in LA (the destination is firm. Applications from other cities will not be considered).

  • 4 months old; corgi mixes; 3 boys and 1 girl
  • Current weights 2.5kg ~3.5kg
  • Spaying/neutering & microchipping will be done in September
  • Vaccinations will be completed by September

The ideal adopter is a family with a lot of time to dedicate to a puppy, and will be committed to puppy training and socialization.
