Background: Mikoh was rescued from a city pound in Yangsan, Korea, last spring. After her rescue, she stayed at another shelter before moving to our partner boarding house earlier this summer. Since then, she’s been living with other dogs.
Personality and Socialization: Mikoh is a sweet, playful, and loving girl with a bright personality. She has a moderate energy level and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, including big ones—she’s never intimidated by them. While she might be a bit shy when she’s in a new place, it doesn’t take her long to warm up. Once she feels comfortable, her playful and affectionate side shines through. When Mikoh first arrived, she was nervous and reserved for about a week, but now she’s blossomed into a confident, playful dog who enjoys spending time with our volunteers.
Behaviors: Mikoh is learning to walk on a leash. She can be nervous in new places, but once she’s familiar, she enjoys following her humans on walks. She prefers doing her business outdoors but will use pee pads indoors if needed. During breaks, she likes to lie down and relax. Mikoh is quiet and well-behaved indoors, and she doesn’t chew on things she shouldn’t. She’s also been fine in the car and during baths. She’s a simple dog—happy when playing with other dogs or spending time with her humans.
Health and Diet: Mikoh is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She also takes monthly preventatives for internal and external parasites. She’s a healthy girl, ready to bring peace and love to her forever home. She enjoys dry kibbles twice a day. Currently, there are no known allergies.
Ideal Home: Mikoh would be happiest as a second dog in a home with another friendly, and playful dog. She really thrives when she has a dog companion and is noticeably happier. Mikoh would also love a home where someone is around most of the time. Mikoh is a loving and sweet little girl. With a bit of patience and space to settle into her new home, especially if you already have a friendly pup, she’ll be a wonderful addition to your family.
Mikoh is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Mikoh is $780.
