Marie 3

Background: Marie was rescued last summer in Hwasung, Korea. She had been chained outside and left to survive on human food waste. It took weeks of convincing before her owner finally agreed to surrender her. After her rescue, she spent a few months in a foster home and then moved to our boarding house in November. Since then, she has been living peacefully with other dogs.

Personality and Socialization: From the start, Marie has been a bright, happy, and affectionate girl. She is friendly, social, and highly adaptable—never shy around people, including men. She forms strong bonds with her humans and is eager to please. Marie is also very intelligent and a fast learner. She has a playful and curious nature, with medium to high energy. She enjoys playing with other dogs and gets along well with both large and small dogs.

Behaviour: Marie loves outdoor adventures and walks beautifully on a leash, following her human’s lead. She is well-behaved, obedient, and enjoys pleasing her people. While she prefers outdoor potty breaks, she is also trained to use indoor pee pads if necessary. She does well in the car, at the vet, and even during bath time—an all-around adaptable and well-mannered dog.

When first rescued, Marie experienced some separation anxiety, whining when left alone. However, since moving to the boarding house, she has improved significantly. Because she thrives on companionship, she would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time or where she has another friendly, playful dog to keep her company.

Health and Diet: Marie is in great health! She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vaccinated. She also receives monthly parasite prevention. She eats kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies or dietary sensitivities.

Ideal Home: Marie is happiest when she’s with her people. She would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time or in a family with another playful dog her size. An adopter who enjoys outdoor activities and includes their dog in their daily life would be a perfect match for her.
