Background: Lucky was rescued from a city pound in Yangsan, Korea, this spring. After spending some time in another shelter, he moved to our partner boarding house early in the summer. Since then, he’s been living with other dogs.
Personality and Socialization: Lucky is a calm, medium-energy dog who is generally quiet and submissive. He gets along well with other friendly dogs but feels a bit intimidated by dominant or bossy ones. He prefers the company of gentle and friendly dogs. Lucky isn’t too shy around strangers or men. He’s very affectionate, loves to snuggle, and enjoys being petted.
Behavior: Lucky is a quiet dog who rarely barks, especially indoors. He prefers to go potty outside but can also use pee pads if needed. While he gets a little nervous in the car, he’s generally okay with it. Lucky has been fine during vet visits, grooming, and baths. He enjoys outdoor activities and leash walks, though he may be a bit scared in new environments at first. With time, he adjusts well.
Health and Diet: When Lucky was first rescued, he had some skin issues, but those have healed, and he’s currently healthy. He’s been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. He’s also on monthly internal and external parasite preventatives. Lucky hasn’t shown any allergic reactions and eats dry kibble twice daily.
Ideal Home: Lucky would thrive in a home with someone who has plenty of time to spend with him, whether that’s a person with a quiet lifestyle, someone who works from home, or a retiree. He’d be a great fit for first-time dog parents or even as a gentle and friendly second dog. Lucky is easy-going and happy—whoever adopts him will truly be “lucky.”
