Background: Koongyi was rescued from a high-kill shelter just before euthanasia in early spring this year. She stayed at a foster home for a while, where she lived with cats and children and got along great with them. Last month, she joined our partner boarding house and has been living with other small dogs.
Personality and Socialization: Koongyi has a calm and gentle manner with medium energy. She may be shy for the first couple of days around strangers or in a new environment, but she warms up quickly. After that, she loves to hang out with people and enjoys sitting on their laps. While she doesn’t have much experience around big dogs, she should be fine as long as they are gentle and friendly.
Behaviors: Koongyi has limited experience walking on a leash, but she loves going outside and sniffing around. She is very obedient and patient, even though she is still young. She is comfortable with baths and grooming and is okay in the car, although she gets a bit nervous. She is adaptable and eager to learn new things. Despite her youth, she is not demanding or destructive. She is pretty quiet indoors and rarely barks.
Health and Diet: Koongyi has completed all medical examinations and is in excellent health, ready for her new family. She is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and receives regular parasite treatments.
Koongyi enjoys Acana dry kibbles, made in Canada, and she is fed twice daily. Currently, there are no known allergies.
Ideal Home: Koongyi’s ideal forever family would be someone who works from home or is retired and has plenty of time to play with her and hang out. She would be perfect for anyone looking for a sweet and mellow fur baby. Overall, she is easygoing and very loving.
