Background: Jelly is one of the 21 brave dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Anseong, Korea, this spring. Since his rescue, he has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house, where he’s been waiting for his forever home.

Personality and Socialization: Jelly earned his sweet name because he truly embodies it – he’s soft, sweet, and mellow. With a medium energy level, Jelly is friendly and gentle. His love for people shines through, as his favorite activity is hanging out with his humans. Jelly loves to snuggle and shower you with affection – he’s a big, lovable cuddle bug. He can be a bit competitive and tends to get jealous around other dogs, so it would be ideal for him to be the only dog in the household where he can soak up all the attention and love.

Behaviors: Despite his young age, Jelly is a fast learner. He pays close attention and is eager to please his humans. He’s OK with car rides, baths, and nail clipping. Although he doesn’t like them, he will patiently allow his humans to take care of him. Jelly likes going out for a walk, but in new environments, he will get cautious and a bit nervous until he gets comfortable. Jelly doesn’t have experience with cats or young children.

Health: Jelly is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccinations. He also takes monthly preventatives for internal and external parasites. He’s a healthy boy, ready and eager to find his forever home.

Ideal Home: Jelly’s ideal adopter is someone who works from home or is retired, with plenty of time to spend with him. He thrives on human companionship and loves nothing more than to snuggle and be close to his people. A home where he is the only fur baby and can receive all the attention, love, and care he deserves would be perfect for him.
