Get monthly updates about dogs like Hyori and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
Background: Hyori is one of 21 brave dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Anseong, Korea, this spring. Since her rescue, she’s been staying with other dogs at our partner boarding house, waiting for her forever home.
Personality and Socialization: Hyori is a playful and active lapdog who loves being around people. She’s very affectionate, friendly, and isn’t afraid of strangers. She gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are friendly and playful. Hyori would make a great second dog for someone looking for a playmate for their current dog.
Behaviors: Hyori rarely barks and is quiet indoors. She does well in the car, though she can get a bit nervous. She’s patient during baths and prefers to do her business outside, though she’ll use pee pads indoors if needed. She enjoys playing with toys and behaves well at the vet. While she’s still getting used to walking on a leash, she follows her humans well.
Health and Diet: Hyori is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She receives monthly parasite prevention and hasn’t shown any signs of allergies. She eats dry kibble twice a day.
Ideal Home: Hyori would thrive in a family that loves outdoor activities. She’s a cuddle bug who likes to stay close to her humans, so a home with someone who works from home or is retired would be ideal. If there’s another friendly and playful dog in the home, that would be a bonus, as Hyori loves having a furry companion.
