Hodoo 3

Background: Hodoo is a gentle, sweet-natured girl who’s ready to be a loving companion. She was rescued from a city pound in Gongju, Korea, where she narrowly avoided euthanasia earlier this year. After some time at another shelter, she recently moved to our partner boarding house, patiently waiting for her forever home.

Personality & Socialization: Hodoo is a shy girl at first, but once she settles in, she warms up and shows her affectionate side. With a medium-to-low energy level, she enjoys being around her people and loves to hang out. Hodoo gets along well with calm, gentle dogs but tends to avoid those who are too bossy or hyper. She’s easygoing, submissive, and has no known experience with young children or cats. However, with a slow and proper introduction, she could likely adapt.

Behaviour: Hodoo does well with other friendly, easygoing dogs. If another dog is too dominant or loud, she prefers to keep her distance and observe quietly. She is well-behaved, showing no signs of separation anxiety, and handles baths and vet visits calmly. Hodoo loves her walks and walks nicely on a leash. She gets nervous during car rides, which can cause her to drool. She is comfortable using indoor pee pads but also enjoys outdoor potty breaks.

Health & Diet: Hodoo is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes. Although she was heartworm positive when rescued, she has completed her treatment and is now heartworm-free and healthy. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no signs of allergies, though this could change with new environments and diets.

Ideal Home: Hodoo is an easygoing, mellow dog who would be a great fit for someone seeking a gentle, quiet companion. She’s not demanding and would thrive in a calm home where she can spend time with her humans. She’d be ideal for someone who works from home or is retired, looking for a sweet, low-maintenance fur baby to share their days with.
