Background: Hanwool and her two puppies were rescued from the Anseong city pound in 2024. Since then, she has been living in our boarding house with other dogs, patiently waiting for her turn to find a forever home. Her two puppies have already been adopted by wonderful families in Vancouver, and now it’s her time to start a new chapter.

Personality and Socialization: Hanwool is a gentle and sweet girl with a calm and mild temperament. However, she can be shy around strangers and in new environments. It may take her a few days to feel comfortable, but once she does, she warms up beautifully, revealing her affectionate and well-mannered personality. She is not overly demanding of attention but enjoys being near the people she trusts. She especially loves belly rubs and snack time.

She gets along well with other gentle and friendly dogs but tends to avoid those that are too pushy or overly energetic. With people, she is initially reserved but becomes very sweet and trusting once she feels secure. She has no experience with cats or young children.

Behaviours: Hanwool prefers to do her business outside but will use indoor pee pads if needed. She rides well in the car and handles vet visits and baths without any issues. She walks well on a leash, though she may be cautious in unfamiliar environments. She has shown no destructive behaviors and is overall a quiet and well-mannered companion.

Health and Diet: When she was rescued, Hanwool tested positive for heartworm and anaplasmosis, but she has since completed treatment and is now fully healthy. She has been spayed and is up to date on all vaccinations. Deworming is done, and monthly parasite preventative is provided. Hanwool eats kibble twice a day and has no known allergies.

Ideal Home: Hanwool would thrive in a quiet and patient home where she can settle in at her own pace. She is not a high-maintenance dog but would be happiest with a family who leads a relaxed lifestyle and understands the importance of giving her time to build confidence. A home with a gentle dog companion would be great, as she feels most comfortable around calm and kind dogs.

Once she feels safe, Hanwool is a truly sweet and well-behaved companion who will bring warmth and love to her forever family. If you are looking for a gentle and affectionate dog who will blossom with patience and love, Hanwool may be the perfect match.
