Background: Chapsal was rescued from a neglectful situation where she was tied up outside in the freezing winter. Survival was tough, but thankfully, with the help of our colleagues, her owner agreed to surrender her. Since early February, she’s been safe at our partner boarding house, recovering and waiting for her forever family.

Personality and Socialization: With a natural gentle nature, Chapsal is a loving low-energy Jindo angel. She can be a bit shy at first to strangers but warms up. She definitely has her favourite people and shows loyal affection. She does have her favourite humans. She enjoys spending time with other furry friends who have gentle and calm personalities just like herself. Chapsal hasn’t had any experience with cats or young children, so her comfort around them is unknown.

Behaviours: Chapsal has only shown gentle sweetness since her arrival. She’s shown no signs of destructive or loud behaviours. She’s great with leash walking and is indoor pad-trained. Not only is she excellent in car rides but also takes great baths as well. She’s a little nervous during her vet visits but stays calm the whole time showing her gentle mature personality.

Health and Diet: Chapsal is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. She was treated for heartwarm previously, and she is now healthy, heartworm-free, and ready for her forever home. She takes a monthly internal and external parasite preventative and is parasite-negative. She hasn’t shown allergies. She eats kibbles twice a day.

Ideal Home: Sweet Chapsal is looking for a forever home that can be by her side for many endless happy years. If you work from home or are retired and are ready for a calm gentle Jindo girl to be part of your family, she may just be the one for you. With her calm personality, she would thrive as a single dog or with another dog companion who is just as gentle as her. Chapsal is shy at first but once she knows you, she shows so much love and loyalty that whoever adopts her will be incredibly lucky to have this new family member.

Chapsal means sticky rice in Korean.
