Get monthly updates about dogs like Bella 2 and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
Background: Bella’s journey began in a difficult place—rescued from a neglectful pet shop owner, where she and seven other dogs were confined to a small, dark room without any sunlight. Since her rescue, Bella has been staying at our partner boarding house with other dogs, where she’s finally able to enjoy a safe and loving environment.
Personality and Socialization: Bella is a gentle and affectionate girl with a medium energy level. She enjoys calm interactions and is incredibly sweet with both people and dogs. Bella is social but at her own pace—she prefers quieter playtime and a peaceful atmosphere. Bella is not shy around strangers and is happy to meet new people, though she does so in a more laid-back manner compared to her more energetic counterparts. She has no experience with cats and young children.
Behavior: Bella is well-behaved during car rides, often relaxing or napping quietly. She’s a champ at the vet and handles baths and grooming without any fuss. Due to her early life in confinement, she’s still learning how to enjoy walks on a leash, as her previous owner never let her outside. Despite this, Bella is adapting beautifully—she shows no signs of destructive behavior and is happy using indoor pee pads. She’s a calm, patient learner who’s making steady progress.
Health and Diet: Bella is in good health, having undergone all necessary veterinary care. She’s vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and receives regular parasite prevention. Bella currently eats dry kibble twice a day. While she does have some tear stains, switching her to hypoallergenic food may help improve this.
Ideal Home: Bella would thrive in a relaxed, nurturing home where someone is often around. Whether that’s someone working from home or a retired person with time to spend with her, Bella will flourish in an environment that matches her gentle spirit. She is a loving, loyal companion who will blossom with a family who can give her the patience and care she needs to fully enjoy the outside world and all it has to offer.
