The past few weeks have been faced with difficult times as COVID-19 continues to rapidly and drastically impact our everyday lives. Free Korean Dogs (FKD) thanks everyone who has taken the time to send us messages of support and encouragement as we navigate through these unprecedented times.
Can I still adopt?
Our general operation is ongoing. Our volunteers continue to review applications for our available dogs while respecting the social distancing requirement. We continue to devote ourselves to providing the highest level of care in the process despite some of the challenges that have arisen.
In the interest of keeping everyone safe, FKD will evaluate and implement necessary changes to allow us to practice social distancing without sacrificing due diligence. Using alternative means such as WhatsApp, Messenger, or Skype to conduct our usual in-person home visits will allow us to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency without compromising our social responsibility.
With the ever changing border restrictions, we are experiencing cancellations and delays of our adopted dogs’ flights. We understand how these setbacks may come as a disappointment for our adopters who continue to wait for their new family members with a great deal of excitement. We are so grateful for your understanding, and thank you for your patience in knowing that when the crisis has passed, our dogs will finally have a loving family to come home to. We are also appreciative of those who continue to pursue adoption and willingly wait to be united with their new fur babies.
Public health is everyone’s priority. FKD continues to adhere all updated requirement(s) from applicable government agencies and veterinary organizations. We are all in this together, and by each doing our part we will get through this. Please be safe everyone.
Hello,
I’m actually just wondering if the white Jindo on the COVID-19 poster has an instagram, or where I can at least see more pictures of her? Kimchi, is her name?
Thank you.
