The Underdogs of the Rescue World
Working within the world of dog rescue we often see and hear the stigma associated with adoption, especially for meat farm rescues. They say shelter dogs are ‘broken’; They have deeply rooted trauma and behavior issues beyond the help of rehabilitation; They are past their prime years and cannot be trained. The list goes on.
The Beginning of a New Start
Most who follow the dog meat trade (abolishment)movement are familiar with the typical scene – rows upon rows of dogs in rusted metal cages surrounded by feces and other unrecognizable waste littered all around the area. Scarlet Leaves Her Scars Behind For Her Forever Home
Scarlet was among the 69 dogs who were rescued from the Dangjin dog meat farm in 2018. She was found in a filthy, rusted cage by herself with patches of fur, itchy skin, and had obviously had a litter not long ago, although they were nowhere to be found on the farm.

The Charley Diaries Part 3: Expanding Horizons
Training a dog to get settled is not something that happens overnight, because dogs don’t understand human languages or the circumstances of the fate we’ve chosen for them. Settling in takes time and patience. The process isn’t black or white, nor is progress linear. There is no ‘typical’ timeline in which things are expected to …Read More about The Charley Diaries Part 3: Expanding Horizons
