In March of 2017 I lost my best friend Dudley to lymphoma. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I also lost both my parents at age 60 and the only companion I had left was Dud who I had for almost 15 years. For a while, I struggled with the idea …Read More about A thank you note about Rick
This past summer, my girlfriend, Jae and I came across FreeKoreanDogs through recommendation from a friend. After mere minutes of browsing, it became apparent that our dogless days were numbered. We were so enamoured by all of the sweet faces of FKD.
On September 1st, 2018, Free Korean Dogs (FKD) rescued 69 dogs from Dangjin Dog Meat Farm (DMF) in Korea.

At home we already had an 11-year-old, 80 lb English retriever/standard poodle cross and a 9-year-old, 30 lb mini goldendoodle, as well as 2 cats.

We can share what worked & what did not work – apply these learnings to our own environment & circumstances. I had the pleasure to foster 2 different dogs from …Read More about Fostering Dogs 101: Part 1
My partner and I love going up to his mother’s place in the country. It is a great escape from the city, quiet and peaceful, surrounded by conservation area and beautiful farmland. When we first adopted Ollie (formerly Odong), we were curious if this former ‘country’ boy would love this rural as much as we …Read More about Ollie’s First Thanksgiving
