Free Korean Dogs is 5 years old today! We feel so fortunate for all that we have experienced in the last 5 years as we’ve grown to learn so much about ourselves and each other, all the while meeting new people and dogs along the way.
Our 5th year anniversary didn’t happen as we expected – amidst a global pandemic and national lockdown – but we will celebrate nonetheless in spirit. It only means we will have to make next year’s celebration much more special! While the world has experienced many changes during these unprecedented times, it’s been no exception here at Free Korean Dogs.
Temporary changes for Toronto adoptions
Our adoption team has experienced an extraordinary response over the last few months, and we have been flattered at the overwhelming number of people who have offered to give our dogs a loving home. We are deeply appreciative to our adopters who have been patiently waiting for their furry babies, and are just as eager to have them come home where we know they will be safe and loved for the rest of their lives.
Beginning July 1st, 2020, Free Korean Dogs will temporarily pause adoption applications for candidates in Toronto to allow us to prioritize flights for adopters who are awaiting the arrival of their dogs. Applicants in Vancouver will still be eligible to apply. We understand this may be disappointing news to many but not to worry; these measures are temporary and we will be back in Toronto soon!
Free Korean Dogs is coming to Seattle!
On a more positive note, we are excited to announce we will soon be opening up adoptions to applicants in Seattle, Washington! With a growing team, we are finally ready to expand our catchment area, beginning with Seattle. We hope to include more US cities as we continue to grow. Stay tuned for more information on when we will begin accepting applications!
Cheers to another 5 years!
It’s been an amazing 5 years and we can’t wait to see what the next 5 years will bring. It’s been a true pleasure crossing paths with all our adopters, volunteers, and supporters. We couldn’t have done it without you. Again, we thank everyone for their patience, understanding, and support as we navigate through these unprecedented times. Please continue to stay safe and be well.
Sincerely,
The Board of Directors at Free Korean Dogs
