Get monthly updates about dogs like Sweetie and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Sweetie was one of the 101 dogs who were rescued from the Siheung dog meat farm in Korea in May along with her siblings when they were small puppies. After her rescue, she lived at our partner boarding house where she played well and made friends easily with other dogs.

We named her as she is the most social of her siblings. While others were shy in the beginning, Sweetie opened up the quickest, asking for pets and attention. She likes to follow the volunteers around and is curious as to what they are doing.

Having spent her entire life surrounded by other dogs, Sweetie gets along very well with her fellow canines at the boarding house. Their presence has shaped her into a well-adjusted and socially adept companion.

Sweetie’s ideal home is one that embraces a relaxed lifestyle and provides the comfort of a house with a secure backyard. Her adopter should be dedicated to nurturing her socialization skills with both people and other dogs, as well as willing to spend quality time with her, considering her young age. It is important to note that due to her limited life experiences, new sights and sounds in a different environment may require some patience and adjustment on Sweetie’s part. While having another canine sibling in the household is highly preferred, it is not an absolute requirement for adoption.

By opening your heart and home to Sweetie, you’ll be gaining an affectionate and sociable companion who will bring joy and warmth to your life. With love and continued guidance, Sweetie is sure to thrive and become an inseparable part of your family.
