Laho

Note: Laho is currently in Waterdown, ON. 

Laho was one of the nine puppies who was born from a stray dog in one cold winter day. After his rescue, he lived in a shelter with other dogs until he left Korea to come to Canada.

Laho is shy around strangers and in new situations. He is also curious and cautiously follows people around, but steps back if you engage him too quickly. With a timid and submissive personality, he does allow petting and being managed, albeit still with apprehension. It is apparent he craves the company and affection of people, but isn’t quite sure how to achieve it on his own terms yet. It will take some time for him to open up as Laho still doesn’t understand why he was taken away from the shelter, a place he considered “home”, and away from his friends (sheltermates). He experienced the same in Korea, and once he gets familiar with his new place and people, his true loving personality emerges.

Laho gets along well with other dogs as long as they are friendly, but he gets nervous around hyper or dominant dogs. He currently lives with another small dog who he is very interested in. However, she is quite indifferent to Laho, and they both respect each other’s boundaries as a result.

Laho’s ideal adopter is someone who is patient, understanding, accepting of his personality and background, and willing to support him through his insecurities while he works to build his confidence in his own time. He would require a quiet neighborhood and a calm, relaxed home with a secure yard. A person who works from home or is retired and has another friendly dog is most ideal. Laho grew up in the shelter and is still learning about the world. He has already come a long way and with time, he will become an amazing companion.

DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
