Get monthly updates about dogs like Ilsoon and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Five years ago, Ilsoon and her siblings were found in a small village. There was no mother dog but only four puppies. They were sent to a city pound, but after 10 days their names appeared on the list of euthanasia. The four puppies were rescued by a local animal rights activist and sent to a shelter. Since then the four puppies have been living in the shelter.

Ilsoon, like most shelter dogs, is a bit shy and nervous around strangers. Volunteers can hold and pat her with no problems but it takes some time for her to build trust with new people. Ilsoon is fine with other dogs as long as they are not too dominant or aggressive. She also had a foster experience for a year in a city but she didn’t get adopted and eventually got returned. Indeed, this type of mixed dogs rarely get adopted in Korea.

Ilsoon would become a wonderful companion dog if a chance is given. Ilsoon is very smart, sweet, and obedient. She lacks confidence like most rescue dogs, but with loving patience, she will become a loving girl.

For her, we think that a quiet residential area is better than a busy city. Ilsoon enjoys outdoor time; she loves going for walks and playing with other dogs.

We really want to bring her to Canada. The little baby has been living in the shelter way too long.
