Eunpa is one of the seven puppies who were born from a mother dog, Sihwa, a rescue from the Siheug dog meat farm last spring in Korea.

Sadly, due to their mother’s young age and lack of experience, she rejected and refused to care for them. In order to survive, the puppies were hand-reared by shelter volunteers. At present, Eunpa is residing with a foster family in Coquitlam, where she enjoys the company of her siblings, Eunyoung and Eunchan.

Eunpa’s foster describes her as funny, sassy, and playful. On her first day of arrival, she came running out from her crate ready to play. She’s a social girl who warms up almost immediately to her foster family and other dogs. She loves getting attention from humans. When she sees her foster giving love and attention to her foster siblings, she will always run up to receive her share of affection as well.

Aside from basking in pets and cuddles, Eunpa’s favorite thing to do is play, whether with people or other dogs. She gets along well with other dogs, as she has spent her entire life with their company. She can sometimes get a little too excited when playing with other dogs. However, when this happens, she takes cues from other dogs well or is easily redirected by her foster. For Eunpa, there is no such thing as too much play.

Eunpa is very smart and obedient. She listens well, especially when her foster mom tells her “no”. She is quiet indoors never barks, and is potty trained both outside or using pee pads indoors when necessary. She currently does not show signs of separation anxiety when left alone with her fur siblings and a TV or radio playing.  She has experience and does fine with children over the age of 8. Outdoors, Eunpa walks well on leash and has polite manners. She loves meeting other people and dogs.

This spirited girl’s ideal home is one that will continue her socialization with people and other dogs. As she has been accustomed to having her humans around, a home where people are home more often than out would be best. Since she has also had the company of another dog her entire life, a home with another playful dog, or one that can provide frequent and consistent socialization with other dogs (or doggy daycare) would be most preferable.
