Eunchan was born after his mom, Sihwa, a rescued dog from the Siheug dog meat farm that was closed down in May 2022. As a young, traumatized mother, Sihwa rejected her babies and at one point became aggressive towards them. For safety reasons, the mom and puppies were separated, and the litter was subsequently hand raised by the shelter volunteers. Eunchan is currently living with a loving foster family in Vancouver, where he enjoys playing with his siblings Eunyoung and Eunpa.
Eunchan’s foster has described him as the “perfect boy” and an “utter gentleman”. He is a social butterfly who takes no time to warm up to people at all. In fact, when he arrived he came straight out of his crate and wasted no time greeting others and introducing himself. He is a very affectionate boy who is always seeking love, pets, hugs, and kisses. His favorite place to be is right beside his human. However, he is not demanding and understands when space is needed.
Having grown up with other dogs, Eunchan also does well with them. He currently lives with other dogs in his foster home, and shows great manners with others. He has a good understanding of language and boundaries, and has never had any issues with other dogs. While he loves getting human attention, he does not get jealous and doesn’t have any issues with sharing.
Eunchan walks well on leash and is housetrained. He does his potty outside, but knows how to use pee pads in case of emergency. He has a quiet personality and doesn’t bark indoors. He currently doesn’t show any signs of separation anxiety, although he has the company of other canines, and his fosters keep a TV or radio on for him.
This adorable boy is uber affectionate, and likes pretty much anyone. He is looking for a family who has the time and devotion to shower him with the love her craves and deserves. As he has had the company of other dogs his whole life, we believe Eunchan would likely do best in a household with another friendly dog to play with, although this is not a requirement for adoption. He would make an amazing addition to a lucky household.
