Boyoung was discovered as a stray, wandering the streets of Paju, Korea, in 2018. Initially, she was taken in by a foster family during her puppyhood. However, as she grew bigger, the foster family decided to return her to the shelter. Since then, she has resided in the shelter, awaiting a loving home.

For over 4 years, she has been living in the shelter without any prospects of adoption. The shelter where Boyoung resides is very humble, lacking the necessary resources to provide her with enrichment. Consequently, she spends most of her time in an outdoor kennel. We hope to find her a home in Canada soon so that she doesn’t have to endure her 5th cold winter relying only on straw for bedding/warmth and a plastic tarp to shield her kennel from the wind.

Boyoung is sweet and obedient to the shelter staff and volunteers, visibly delighted when she receives attention. However, she exhibits selectiveness when it comes to other dogs. Like most shelter dogs, she seems weary of living in close quarters with numerous other dogs. In fact, she appears happiest in a serene environment, along with people. She transforms into a tranquil and contented soul, much like a little baby.

The ideal adopter for Boyoung would be an individual with prior experience in handling dogs, residing in a tranquil neighborhood with no other pets.

We don’t want Boyoung to stay in the shelter any longer than she already has. Although nobody in Korea has shown interest in giving her a chance, we believe that the perfect family is out there, eagerly waiting to shower her with warmth and love.

Boyoung is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Boyoung is $580.
