Star is one of the 55 dogs rescued from a dog meat farm in Namyangju, Korea, last year by Wizard of Hope volunteers. All of her friends have been adopted and now he is the last small dog at the shelter waiting for his forever home.

Star is shy around strangers but sweet to people whom she knows. Her tail is cut off and left ear is a little bit short. We guess that it happened at the dog farm.  This poor baby is left alone at the shelter in Korea. No friends (small dogs) to play with. The only time when Star can come out his cage and play is the weekend when volunteers visit the shelter. This lonely baby needs his loving forever home. She deserves a happy life.

She is currently at a foster parent in downtown, Toronto and this is what her foster parent said about her.

She’s almost a perfect dog. She loves to walk on the leash, loves to listen and learn, she’s snuggly, extremely affectionate once comfortable. She sleeps solid through the night and loves to nap, but also loves to play. She doesn’t cry when you leave or really beg for food. She just barks at people (mostly men) when they make her nervous. Having people in my home makes her the most uneasy. She was pretty nervous of my dad, but did start to become more comfortable. And as I mentioned, she’s super self-contained/ doesn’t shed or leave a mark. She would be an absolutely perfect dog for a single person, probably female for her comfort. She’s very, very happy when she feels safe and loved. At first she was terrified of music, mirrors, tv… and she’s overcome all of that.
