Update: Smile has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

Due to COVID19 and a shortage of flight volunteers, Smile was transported by cargo flight at a cost of $4,000 CAD. Free Korean Dogs will be asking his adopter to contribute $1,500 CAD towards the cargo fee to help with transportation and costs. The total fee that adopters have to pay is $2,460 CAD ($960 CAD adoption fee + $1,500 CAD for cargo flight).

Note: Smile is currently with a foster in Burlington, ON.

Smile is a lucky dog who was rescued from a high kill shelter in 2019 in Korea. He flew to Toronto in late February and has been settling into life in Canada beautifully.

This handsome boy has a big heart in his little body, and he will instantly give you his whole heart as soon as he meets you. He is a grade A snuggler who loves being around people and giving cuddles and kisses.

Smile however isn’t the biggest fan of other dogs. He was sent to training school to help him with his reactivity with other dogs and graduated with flying colors! He has made tremendous progress and has learned how to approach other dogs, ignoring them for the most part. Nevertheless, Smile is a very smart boy who picks up new concepts and routine very quickly. He is housetrained and has excellent leash manners.

Smile’s ideal home would be one with a small family with no other pets. It will be important for his family to understand and accept him for who he is – which means even with extensive training he may never do well in situations with many dogs (ie: day care, dog parks, etc.)

His ideal family would also have experience with training, more specifically with using slow introductions with other dogs and understanding dog body language/communication. It is important to set him up for success and provide the proper environment for him to grow and thrive. He will also require a house (NOT a condo/apt where there is a higher chance of encountering other dogs). A secure yard would be a big bonus for him, as he loves to run around doing zoomies when outside.

Whoever adopts Smile will be extremely lucky to have a new cuddle buddy in their life!
