*NOTE: Free Korean Dogs is continuing to process applications for our adoptable dogs. However, recent flight restrictions beyond our control have hindered our ability to transport our dogs from Korea until July 2020 (or it may take longer) due to COVID-19. If this is a time line you are able to work with, please submit your application. If you meet our criteria, we will contact you for an interview.

Rohee was rescued from the streets in Paju, Korea in November, 2016. She was about 5 month old at that time and wearing a yellow collar. But for 6 months no one showed up to claim her. Eventually Rohee was sent to a local shelter. Since then, the poor girl has been living there.

When she was a puppy, she was taken to many outdoor adoption events. But no one showed an interest in her; people were only interested in small, young puppies. Slowly, she has become the “unpoular big and old shelter dog.”

Rohee is very loving and sweet; she is especially very obedient and affectionate to shelter staff. When she is taken out for a walk, she still gets nervous. But once she is out, she becomes very happy and playful.

The ideal adopter is someone who has experience with dogs and lives in a house in a quiet neighborhood. Also it will be best if Rohee is the only pet in the house; when she was young, she played very well with other dogs, but now she is most comfortable when she is with people only.
