Get monthly updates about dogs like Onjung and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

* NOTE: Due to recent flight/travel restrictions resulting from Covid-19, it will take longer for your adopted dogs to get to you. Please only submit an application if you are able to wait until a flight volunteer can be secured. Please note we currently do not have a definitive timeline.

Our regular method of transporting dogs using flight volunteers has drastically decreased due to current flight/travel restrictions. An alternative, quicker option of flying via cargo can be made available, although at a greater financial cost. The cost can range from $1500 CAD to $3500 CAD depending on the size and weight of the dog, airline, and destination city. Dogs traveling via cargo will be able to arrive sooner as they are not dependent on travelers to bring them.

Onjung was rescued after she was hit by a car and found on the street crying and covered in blood. She was hospitalized for several months after her rescue, but unfortunately lost the function of her 2 legs. She now uses a wheelchair, which she takes using well.

After her entire ordeal, Onjung is still optimistic, easy-going, forgiving, and affectionate. She currently lives with a foster who has  male Bichon dog of whom she gets along well with.

Her foster describes her as a healthy, playful, friendly, and independent dog. Onjung was left alone for long hours with her previous foster, but is much happier to have the company of her foster grandma in her current home. She sleeps and eats well – some of her favorite snacks include broccoli, carrots, pumpkin, and sweet potato (and some omega-3 supplements) which keep her fur, joints, and digestive system healthy.

Onjung does well during car rides, and is definitely an “outdoor girl”. Do not underestimate her – 2 hour walks are a piece of cake! The daily walks are important to keep her joints strong. She prefers to do her business outdoors, so her adopter should be able to let her out about 4 times a day. Her foster is able to wipe her rear with no issues and apply cream as it is a sensitive area.

This sweet girl is currently with her 5th foster. Moving from home to home is not a proper life, but she is very resilient; it is time for her to find a permanent, forever home. We hope to find Onjung a home where she can enjoy the great outdoors with people who love nature as much as she does. She is affectionate and sweet, yet independent and easy going. All medical treatments are complete, meaning she is more than ready to find her forever family.

Her wheelchair will be included in her adoption.

Onjung means ‘Warmth’ in Korean.

The adoption fee for Onjung is $380 USD or $520 CAD.
