Update: Lettie has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

*NOTE: Lettie will arrive in Vancouver on Oct 7th, 2021.

Lettie was rescued earlier this year by an abusive owner. He kept her chained outside as a “guard dog” on his rice field, likely since she was a puppy. He did not change the metal collar as she grew, and it cut into the skin in her neck causing lacerations.

Since her rescue, she has been living with other dogs. Despite her rough start in life, Lettie has a great temperament and personality. She is very friendly to both people and other dogs, obedient, and playful, but not high energy. She loves all dogs at the shelter whether big or small (her 2 bests friends are a 85lb Dosa and a 15lb jindo mix (Bumsoon) who has since found her forever home in Vancouver.

Her neck has now completely healed without complications, and she has now completed her heartworm treatment and is now treatworm free/negative. She has done a lot of healing and is now ready for a home to call her own.

Lettie would do well as a second dog, or someone less experienced with dogs. A second dog in the home is not required, but she would enjoy regular socialization with other dogs if she was to be the only dog in the home.

Vaccination Details

DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
