Update: Hyuntaek has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

Hyuntaek was found on the streets in a small village in Paju, Korea in the spring of 2016. Since then, he has been living in the shelter without any prospects of adoption. The shelter that Hyuntaek lives in is very humble; there are few resources to afford his enrichment. He has to stay in his kennel most of the time, which is outdoors. We hope we can find his home in Canada or in the US soon so he does not have to endure his 7th cold winter where he only has straws for bedding/warmth, and a plastic tarp to guard his kennel against the wind.

Hyuntaek is sweet and obedient to the shelter staff and volunteers: he is so happy when he gets attention. He is great with his longtime roommate, Callie, and some of the gentle friendly dogs in the shelter. But he is not a fan of hyper or bossy dogs.

We don’t want Hyuntaek to stay in the shelter any longer than he has been. No one in Korea wanted to give Hyuntaek a chance, but we know the perfect family is out there for him, waiting to shower him with warmth and love.

His ideal adopter is someone who has experience with dogs and lives a relaxed lifestyle in a quiet neighborhood. Someone who enjoys outdoor activities with a dog and has patience will be great.

Hyuntaek’s adoption fee is $560 CAD ($560USD).

Vaccination Details

DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
