Update: Hugo has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

Note: Hugo is currently in Toronto.

Hugo was picked up as a stray after being found roaming around a fishing dock. He was sent to a high kill shelter and rescued before being euthanized.

This loves his humans and is very affectionate with them. He has a gentle and submissive nature, which doesn’t make him the best fit with other animals who are with a bossy nature. (He gets bullied and has been attacked by cats before). Overall, he is mostly a “people dog” and is quiet and respectful of other dogs, but keeps to himself and his humans. He spends his days following his foster parents around the house, keeping them company.

He has a quiet personality and is familiar with pee pads indoors, but prefers to use the bathroom outdoors. Initially, In the beginning, Hugo was very afraid of putting on his leash/harness and being outdoors, but with some practice he now has no issues. He is playful outdoors, but mellow inside.

His ideal home is in a home where he would have his people around the majority of the time to spend with him. Being with his people is his absolute favorite thing. He would enjoy having a secure yard to play in, but this is not a requirement. He also would do fine in a home with another dog as long as they are friendly and gentle.
